Production Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Production Supervisor to join our team in New Albany, IN (47150). As a key player in our production facility, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring that our production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

2nd shift: 3pm-11:30pm

This position focuses on the painting department. Paint production experience is not required but it would be a plus. A background in the automotive industry would also make you a strong contender for the position. If you have a passion for leadership and a knack for optimizing processes, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as necessary to meet changing demands.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe workplace for all employees.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve overall performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and production lines to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Address and resolve any production issues or employee concerns in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of production processes and quality control standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve production efficiency.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
