Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Safety Manager to join our team in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safety and well-being of our workforce on construction sites. Your expertise will help us maintain a culture of safety and compliance, allowing our projects to run smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements and Info:

OSHA 500 is preferred to be able to train the OSHA 10 and 30 Construction side

MSHA Blue Card is required

A relocation package would be involved if you are located in another area. That will be discussed throughout the interview process.

Regional Travel is required for the role and is designed for you to be home nights and weekends. Cambat Pay is involved with the roadwork.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Provide training and resources to employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and equipment usage.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Prepare and maintain safety documentation, reports, and records as required.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to construction safety.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction safety management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations MSHA regulations, and safety standards.
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate a diverse workforce.
  • Proficient in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Salary info:

$43.27 - $48.08 / hr
